The area was cramped and difficult to figure out from where you should start. And I was on the top floor! I skipped breakfast both mornings. I was awakened several times both nights that I was there by cars and motorcycles. Now let's add to this, the walls that are so thin that you can hear just about anything going on in the rooms on either side of you as well as traffic in the parking lot. Looked like someone's mascara didn't come out in the wash. Oh good grief! How hard is it to clean a shower? I get out of the shower, grab a towel, and there is a big black smudge on it. While in there I notice several more hairs on the walls of the shower. Since I need to get going I take a shower anyway. I open the shower door to turn on the water and what do I find? A wet washcloth! I'm guessing that the shower didn't get cleaned that day. I grab a cup, pour some coffee, then take some half and half that was available. I pick up the coffee carafe and what do I find? A bit of coffee left in the carafe that had been there long enough to grow mold! Really? UGH, so I clean the coffee maker and make a fresh pot. After a quick nap I decided to make some coffee. It didn't appear that anyone had slept in the bed but that the housekeeper is just losing hair. Since I didn't feel like having to go through the hassle of changing rooms again and moving my luggage, I cleaned up the hair. Hair! Several strands scattered over the sheets. I put my things away and then pulled the covers back on the bed. I explained that I was tired after driving all day and had planned to take a nap before heading out for a class reunion. She asked if I would be stepping out and if so, she would have someone return to finish cleaning. It appeared that the room had not been completely cleaned. I went up to my room and the first thing I notice was the pillows just tossed on the bed and the decorative pillow lying on the shelf. She was anxious to leave for the day and you could tell. First, at check in, the employee, while nice, just seemed to be "going through the motions". However, my excitement was quickly replaced with disappointment. I was looking forward to visiting my home town and staying at this recently opened hotel. Thats not how you deal with unhappy travelers! I also found the management comment under these reviews very unfriendly and borederline nasty to a guest who had an issue. If you care more about the comfort then the warm fuzzies from staff then you'll be fine. We can overlook all of that because our stay was pretty comfy but just be forewarned. This hotel has a managment issue but the rooms are so great I think it still gets 5 stars from me. After we were checked in and heading to our room we noticed another man was waiting awhile there for someone to help him. This should be fixed, its weird! The pool is awesome, the breakfast is pretty good too! We thought the front desk staff were unfriendly but the breakfast staff were very friendly! Another negative about this hotel is when we arrived there was no one at the check in desk and it took a while for them to check us in. There's not even a handle to get in from outside. At least make the door accessible by key to your guests coming in from this side of the hotel. Of course you can take the elevator but I thought this was a bad design choice. The other weird thing about this hotel is the stairs going upstairs (the staircase closest to the lobby) lead directly outside and there's no way to get back in if you are parked over here. This is a great hotel with beautiful rooms! We loved the comfy beds and the suite amenities! One negative about this hotel is the parking lot, we hated how small it was and had trouble finding a spot and it was late so that was a little irritating but the postive is the hotel and rooms are so nice you don't care about the parking after you get to your room.
